I didn't get involved with Fairfield Hills until late 2003 on a drive through the campus. It wasn't until the snow thawed that I had a better look at the campus that I fell in love with it. I felt the memories of life that once was breathed into these buildings. I started to imagine paients walking down halls of photos I saw, staff walking down the sidewalks between the buildings, a night at Plymouth Hall when a movie was shown and the crackle of excitement in the air when a party was held.

FairfieldStateHospital.com is a personal project of mine to debunk rumours of the hospital and to provide an honest history. I felt the need to learn as much as I could about the insitution, and there's always more for me to learn and share. In retrospect, what the community fought at first is now a huge historial monument that can share its resources with the community. Developing this website and doing the research has been very fulfilling to me from both a curious and creative standpoint. I am excited to share my passion with others as well as receive feedback from them to create a sense of community which the future of Fairfield Hills will offer.
